Gattuso wants Ronnie move
Gennaro Gattuso believes signing Ronaldinho would be a sign of intent for Milan.
Gennaro Gattuso believes recruiting world superstar Ronaldinho would be a real sign of intent for Milan. The Barcelona magician has been sporadically linked with a switch to the Rossoneri and chief officer Adriano Galliani only recently admitted that the club will be at the front of the queue should Ronaldinho become available.
Whilst Barca are highly unlikely to sanction the departure of the former Paris Saint Germain star - with his brace on Sunday further testament of his match-winning qualities - Gattuso is dreaming of the buck-toothed Brazilian arriving at San Siro in the summer.
"I hope he could come, because it would mean that Milan still have a big desire to win something important," Gattuso told Sky Italia.
"Ronaldinho is one of those players who can make such a difference."
Milan are currently struggling in Serie A but the arrival of another Brazilian star in Ronaldo could provide a pick-me-up for Carlo Ancelotti's side.
The January signing from Real Madrid made his debut in Sunday's 2-1 win over Livorno and Gattuso hopes that Ronaldo can fire the Rossoneri into the UEFA Champions League places.
"I think that when he entered the ground on Sunday he showed his full value in the sense that the stadium applauded," added Gattuso.
"I think he could help us achieve fourth place."
Milan are currently two points shy of fourth placed Empoli, having been hit with an eight point penalty at the start of the season due to a match fixing conviction.
