Blues hope to unearth Diamond

Chelsea have taken Rushden & Diamonds striker Paris Cowan-Hall on trial again.

Chelsea have handed a second trial to highly-rated Rushden & Diamonds striker Paris Cowan-Hall.

The 16-year-old spent two days at Stamford Bridge in December, but the English champions will now take a look him for a whole week.

Cowan-Hall also spent a week on trial at Manchester United in November, and will be hoping to convince Blues director of youth football Frank Arnesen of his potential in his latest trip to a Premiership giant.

Meanwhile, Blues star Joe Cole has underlined his determination to return to action before the end of the current campaign.

The England international has only played 12 games this season after suffering with knee and foot problems, but has now shed his protective boot and is aiming to aid Chelsea's challenge on four fronts.

"Everything is going to plan and, providing there are no setbacks, I will be back this season," Cole told the Evening Standard.

"I don't want to put any date on it because I saw what happened with John Terry. I am working hard and doing everything I am told.

"I am really looking forward to coming back at the important end of the season and helping us win some trophies.

"As a player, you have a certain amount of games in you and what I am missing now I believe I will get back in my 30s, hopefully still at Chelsea and winning trophies."

In other Blues news, young midfielder Jack Cork will remain at Bournemouth until the end of March after agreeing to extend his loan deal at Dean Court.
