Sir Alex Ferguson does not feel the Glazers would consider selling Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese winger has matured into a genuine world star this term, with his consistent excellence for The Red Devils prompting the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid to take a keen interest.

It is being suggested that the two giants of Spanish football are planning world record bids in the summer in an attempt to test United's resolve.

Ferguson has made it clear that he will not contemplate sanctioning the sale of the flying winger and is convinced the Glazers are of the same mindset.

"I am very confident the Glazers would not sell," he said.

"We always refer things to them, because they are the owners.

"They would have the final decision - but they have been great. There has been no problem at all."
