League Two midweek preview

Leaders Walsall must negotiate a difficult trip north to face Stockport on Tuesday.

Leaders Walsall will hope to extend their lead at the top of League Two but must first negotiate a difficult trip north to face Stockport.

Any slip by The Saddlers could see Hartlepool or Lincoln assume the leadership, pending results against Macclesfield and Hereford respectively.

At the bottom of the league, time is running out for Torquay who travel to Rochdale and Boston, too, who make the short trip south to face Peterborough.

Barnet v Swindon (Barnet 15/8 Draw 11/5 Swindon 6/5)

Barnet could welcome back Andy Hessenthaler and Barry Cogan from injury and suspension respectively, but Liam Hatch and Magno Vieira are both banned and Adam Birchall (hamstring), Anthony Charles and Paul Warhurst (both illness) also miss out.

Paul Sturrock has no injury concerns but is still without skipper Ady Williams (knee), Paul Evans and Andy Caton (both ankle).

Darlington captain Clark Keltie returns from suspension but the hosts are still assessing the fitness of Tim Ryan who has back and hamstring problems.

Grimsby v Wrexham (Grimsby 8/11 Draw 9/4 Wrexham 10/3)

The Mariners are likely to name an unchanged starting line up - striker Michael Reddy is closing on a return following a long lay-off but this match comes too soon for the former Sunderland man.

Wrexham boss Brian Carey is set to include loan signing Jeff Whitley, while Mark Jones returns from a one-match ban.

Hartlepool welcome Ben Clark back from illness and he is likely to replace Gary Liddle in the heart of The Pools' defence, but Willie Bolland (hamstring) is still a doubt.

Macclesfield boss Paul Ince is without a number of players through injury - Matt McNeil (hamstring) and Jamie Tolley (back) are touch-and-go, while Simon Wiles (knee), Jonny Brain, Andrew Teague and Jimmy McNulty (all broken leg) are definitely sidelined.

Lincoln v Hereford (Lincoln 4/6 Draw 12/5 Hereford 7/2)
