Kaka wants Ronaldinho deal

Kaka wants Milan to make a bid for Ronaldinho if he decides to leave Barcelona.

Milan's Brazilian international Kaka wants his side to make a bid for his international team-mate Ronaldinho if he becomes available.

Barcelona are currently enduring a difficult season, and a perceived fallout between Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o has led many to believe one of the two could leave Camp Nou at the end of the season.

Kaka believes that Barcelona are currently facing a decline after three years of dominance and thinks that may lead Ronaldinho to seek pastures new.

"Teams live in cycles," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "I don't know if Barcelona's cycle will end this year, but it will happen soon.

"For three seasons, they have been the best in Europe. They touched the top and not all of their players will wait for the cycle to restart.

"(Paolo) Maldini at Milan did, but I don't know if Ronaldinho will do the same at Barcelona. If he puts himself on the market, I hope Milan will sign him."

Kaka feels Milan are still one of the best teams in Europe despite their poor start domestically, and believes winning the UEFA Champions League is not an impossible task.

"Would it be surprising for us to win it? Not for us and our supporters, but it might be abroad. We started badly in the Italian league, but we are still a team with history and tradition.

"But it is true that tradition doesn't make any difference on the pitch or win you games."

He added that the possibility of facing Chelsea and former Milan star Andrei Shevchenko in a future round of the Champions League would not be desirable.

"Milan versus Chelsea, should both sides progress, wouldn't be ideal for Andrei or for our supporters.

"Should it happen, though, I think it would be right to applaud him, and I think the supporters would."
