Ajax avoided a shock as they progressed at the expense of Willem II Tilburg.
Goals either side of half-time from Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Johnny Heitinga were enough to book their semi-final place.
Nourdin Boukhari netted a brace as AZ Alkmaar dumped Utrecht out of the Dutch Cup.
Boukhari opened the scoring on 28 minutes before adding just second shortly after.
French striker Loic Loval reduced the arrears in the second half, but Utrecht were unable to find a leveller.
RKC Waalwijk gave their fans something to cheer on Wednesday with a surprise 1-0 win over Roda.
The side have just four Eredivisie wins to the name this season, but Ricky van den Bergh's goal settled the contest just six minutes in.
