Lille pin hopes on Keita

Lille are hoping Abdul Kader Keita will inspire his side against Man United.

Lille are hoping Abdul Kader Keita will inspire his side to victory over Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League.

The Ivory Coast midfielder scored twice in Saturday's 4-0 Ligue 1 win against Troyes.

He missed the first leg, which Lille lost to Ryan Giggs' quickly-taken free-kick, but now looks to be hitting his best form in time for the trip to Old Trafford.

"He has to repeat the performance he had against Troyes," said coach Claude Puel.

"He has regained his physical and mental freshness and we at last can see the player we saw last summer when he was impressive in attack and worked hard in defence."

Keita gets his chance as first-choice midfielders Mathieu Bodmer and Yohan Cabaye are both ruled out with respective ankle and stomach muscle injuries.
