Burdisso: No Navarro grudge
Nicolas Burdisso insists he has forgiven David Navarro for the punch that broke his nose.
Internazionale defender Nicolas Burdisso insists he has forgiven David Navarro of Valencia for the attack that left him with a broken nose.Burdisso was on the receiving end of a cowardly punch from Navarro during the melee that followed the sides' UEFA Champions League clash at The Mestalla on Tuesday.
Navarro's actions unsurprisingly sparked more violence with trouble subsequently spilling over into the tunnel.
Uefa have since charged both sides with improper conduct, while Burdisso himself is one of five players carpeted by European football's governing body.
However, the Argentine no longer holds a grudge against Navarro who has made contact to apologise for his actions.
"For me the case is closed," Burdisso stated. "I've already forgiven Navarro.
"I haven't spoken with him personally, but I've got a message on my mobile phone with his explanation and I've told him that I'm not angry with him and that things end here, with no grudges."
