Addicks trio go out on loan

Charlton have let a trio of youngsters gain experience with clubs in the lower leagues.

Charlton Athletic have allowed a trio of youngsters to gain experience with clubs in the lower leagues.

Nathan Ashton has linked up with Millwall in League One, while James Walker (pictured) and Myles Weston have signed for League Two side Notts County.

Left-back Ashton made his Charlton debut in the Carling Cup earlier in the season and could earn a long-term deal at Millwall, according to Willie Donachie.

The Lions boss told the club's official website: "Nathan looks a good prospect and we've taken him now with a view to something longer term perhaps.

"He'll be a useful addition to the squad."

Walker is a striker who has recently returned to The Valley after a loan stint at Leyton Orient, having also played for Bristol Rovers this season.

Weston, meanwhile, is a left-winger and has yet to make a senior appearance, but will spend the next month with Notts County.
