Phillips will now aid The Quakers as they look to sneak into the play-offs during the last eight games of their campaign.
The 24-year-old's arrival boosts Darlington's defence just three days after the departure of David Duke by mutual consent.
Meanwhile, Craig James has left Darlington to join Conference promotion hopefuls York on a month's loan.
