Joel Drogba is not expected to be offered a contract by Leyton Orient.Drogba, Chelsea striker Didier's (pictured) younger brother, has been on trial at Brisbane Road with the hope of earning a deal.
The 22-year-old appeared for the reserves against Norwich on Tuesday but looks set to be disappointed by boss Martin Ling.
"I think it's unlikely he'll stay," a club spokesman said. "I can't say 100 per cent, but as far as I know he won't be."
Drogba has previously trained with Queens Park Rangers without fruition, and also had spells across Europe with Metz, St Pauli and NK Zagreb.
Ling is unlikely to add players to The O's squad before Thursday's loan deadline.
The spokesman added: "The club are happy with the current squad."
Meanwhile, defender Matt Lockwood will be out for a month with an ankle injury suffered against Oldham.
