Gabriel Agbonlahor is ready to pledge his future to Aston Villa.
The England Under 21 international, who has played in every single game this season under Martin O'Neill, hopes to agree a new deal in the next few weeks.
O'Neill has already talked of offering the 20-year-old an improved contract to keep him at Villa Park, and the forward now looks like he is ready to sign on the dotted line.
"Hopefully we can try and sort something out, so we'll have to wait and see. I want to be at Villa for the future," Agbonlahor told the club's official website.
"I'm not sure how long the deal is we're talking about. I haven't had any information on that. Hopefully for the foreseeable future."
Meanwhile, Agbonlahor, who figured in the 3-3 international draw with Italy at the new Wembley, has also decided to pledge his international future to England and turn his back on Nigeria.
"England is the team I want to play for. When you play somewhere like this (Wembley) it helps you make a decision," added the Villa youngster.
"It means a lot to play at the new Wembley. There are many more games to be played here, so to be involved at the start is really exciting."
