McCarthy sweats on Murray

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is waiting on the fitness of goalkeeper Matt Murray.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is waiting on the fitness of goalkeeper Matt Murray ahead of Saturday's clash with Southampton.

Murray left the field with a knee injury at half-time in the 2-2 draw at Sheffield Wednesday and has not joined in training this week.

Full-back Jamie Clapham is also struggling to be fit after suffering a hamstring injury, but on a positive note for McCarthy winger Michael McIndoe has made a recovery form a bruised shin and Charlie Mulgrew from an ankle injury.

"Matt has not trained yet but we are hopeful he will be okay for the weekend," McCarthy said.

"Michael McIndoe is fine and training but Jamie Clapham has a hamstring problem. But Charlie Mulgrew is training well."
