Cris committed to Lyon

Lyon defender Cris has declared his intention to stay at the club next season.

A number of players have been linked with a move away from Lyon in recent weeks following their exit from the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Roma.

Florent Malouda admitted earlier this week that he may have to consider his future options, but Cris has no intention of leaving Stade Gerland.

"I stay. That is my aim. There is no trouble about that subject," he said.

"I am very happy here, even if I was very disappointed by the Champions League elimination."

The Brazilian defender also dismissed rumours that he had a poor relationship with Lyon boss Gerard Houllier.

"There is no problem with the coach, it is just the press that talks about that," he explained.

"We talk together, it is all fine."
