Linderoth considered quitting

Tobias Linderoth has revealed he almost quit football when he was playing for Everton.

The Sweden international spent two-and-a-half years at Goodison Park but only made 40 league appearances for The Toffees.

Linderoth has since re-launched his career in Denmark with FC Copenhagen, but not before mulling over his future.

"I have had periods when I have considered quitting football," Linderoth told 24-timer.

"Everton is a nice club, a good club, but I just felt that it was not the right club and environment for me to develop.

"I was often depressed and sad about it."
