Internazionale have reportedly made an offer of ‚é¼6million (£4million) to Barcelona for midfield playmaker Deco and are awaiting a response.Italian sources claim the Nerazzurri want the former Porto star to replace his Portuguese compatriot, Luis Figo, in their line-up and have already begun by making an initial approach.
Deco has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou before this season when he was rumoured to be interesting Chelsea as part of a swap deal involving Frank Lampard.
The 29-year-old Brazilian-born is wanted to step into Figo's role, as the former Barca and Real Madrid veteran has agreed a move to Saudi Arabia.
Barca, though, are understood to have different ideas about Deco's future and are believed to be preparing an offer of a new contract which could tie him to the club until 2010. His current deal is due to expire next year.
