Holdsworth signs new deal

Andy Holdsworth has signed a new two-year deal at Huddersfield Town.
New Terriers boss Andy Ritchie is delighted to hold onto the defender, particularly as he was rumoured to be a target for the likes of Sheffield United and Leeds.
"Andy was one of the players I knew more about when I arrived here, which is testament to his reputation inside football," he told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.
"I'm pretty sure he's been coveted by a number of clubs, so for him to want to stay here is a sign that he's buying into what we're trying to achieve."
Ritchie added that he believes, although his normal position is at right-back, Holdsworth will eventually develop into a holding midfielder.
The 23-year-old has played the occasional game in midfield, but Ritchie feels he may be better suited to that role long-term.
"I know he's recognised as a right-back, but within the club there's a school of thought that he may mature into a holding midfielder.
"We played him there against Millwall and, to say he'd just come back from injury, I was delighted with his level of performance and the way he lasted the game."
