Warnock 'let down' by Morgan
Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock feels Chris Morgan has had to mature this season.
Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has saluted Chris Morgan's growing maturity, but admitted his captain had let the side down at times.Morgan has been red carded four times in four seasons at Bramall Lane, and was also caught on camera elbowing Robin Van Persie during United's 1-0 victory over Arsenal in December.
The incident resulted in a Football Association hearing and subsequent ban, and Warnock has expressed disappointment at his conduct.
But the Blades boss has also paid tribute to Morgan for his recent behaviour, and is looking for him to provide more evidence of his self-discipline in the final few weeks of the season.
"Chris is our captain and he has disappointed me on a number of occasions since he has been captain. He has let us down at times," said Warnock.
"I'll have to see over the next few games how he reacts to certain things, and if things happen in those games.
"But since the turn of the year he's been exemplary. His attitude has been spot on, and I hope he has matured."
