SPL Round-Up

Rangers missed the chance to seal second place in the SPL as they drew 3-3 at Hibs.

Rangers missed the chance to seal second place in the SPL as they came from behind to seal a 3-3 draw with Hibernian at Easter Road.

Hibs took the lead on three separate occasions as Steven Fletcher (27), Kevin McCann (45) and Steven Whittaker all scored - but each time Walter Smith's men responded with Charlie Adam (pictured, 24 & 78) pouncing twice and Alan Hutton (54) also finding the back of the net.

Aberdeen made sure they closed the gap to eight points as they easily dispatched of Kilmarnock 3-0 at Pittodrie.

Barry Nicholson got The Dons off to a perfect start with his penalty after just seven minutes and second half efforts from Lee Miller (49) and Darren Mackie (62) secured their success.

Graham Bayne's strike just before the hour gave Inverness Caledonian Thistle a 1-1 draw at Dundee United, who had taken the lead through David Robertson (41).

Motherwell needed a David Clarkson strike (58) to rescue a point against Falkirk - despite being 2-0 to the good at half time at Fir Park.

Darren Smith (18) and Scott McDonald (37) struck to make it 2-0 - but within ten-minutes of the second half re-starting, Falkirk were ahead as Thomas Scobbie (48), Patrick Cregg (55) and a Stephen Craigan (49) own goal made it 3-2.

But Clarkson was on hand to rescue a share of the spoils for Well.
