Agent rejects Bardsley talk
Phil Bardsley's agent has moved to dismiss reports linking Everton with his client.
Phil Bardsley's agent has moved to dismiss reports that have suggested his client is close to agreeing a switch to Everton. The Manchester United full-back spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa but despite earning plenty of playing time, Martin O'Neill elected not to make the deal permanent.
It has been reported that Everton are, though, close to landing the 21-year-old right-back but these claims have now been rubbished by the player's representative Des Wroe.
Wroe insists that he has not engaged in discussions with anyone at Goodison Park, with Bardsley's future seemingly far from finalised.
"I don't know where this has come from," Wroe claims.
"The same story has appeared in the papers for weeks now but it is complete nonsense."
