Ivan Klasnic is poised to sign a new contract at Werder Bremen having recovered from a kidney transplant.The Croatian international, whose body rejected a first kidney from a transplant in January, is now back in training after his father donated his kidney in a successful operation in March.
Klasnic's existing deal is set to expire at the end of June but the 27-year-old, having put the ordeal behind him, is now ready to commit his future to the Bundesliga club.
"I will sign this week," said Klasnic.
"I went on holiday recently which delayed things, but it's all been discussed and there are no problems."
