Barcelona are to hold talks with Monaco midfielder Yaya Toure on Sunday.
Barcelona have confirmed that they are to hold talks with Monaco midfielder Yaya Toure.The Ivory Coast international, brother of Arsenal defender Kolo Toure, arrived in Spain on Sunday in order to engage in discussions with the Catalan giants.
Barca have wasted little time in trying to land their primary transfer targets, having been usurped as Liga champions by arch rivals Real Madrid, with Toure's likely capture following on from the news Thierry Henry is on his way from Arsenal.
Toure's powerhouse midfield displays over the past few seasons, first with Olympiakos and then at Monaco, have not gone unnoticed at several of Europe's biggest clubs, but it is Barca who have stolen a march on their rivals.
"It's a great opportunity for me," Toure told Barcelona's official website.
"Barcelona is one of the best teams in the world."
