Osasuna move for Plasil

Osasuna have opened talks with Monaco to land Czech star Jaroslav Plasil.

The 25-year-old has two years left on his current deal at the Stade Louis II - but he is now seemingly ready to quit the Principality outfit.

Plasil is wanted by Osasuna to bolster their left-sided options as they currently only have Ludovic Delporte.

"I want to play in Spain, because in those countries the teams play to win, in France they play to avoid defeat," Plasil is quoted as saying in the Spanish press.

Reports in Spain suggest Osasuna could strike a loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer with Monaco.

Meanwhile, another player on his way out of Monaco is full-back Manuel Dos Santos.

The 33-year-old is out of contract at Monaco and has been told he can leave the club.

Nice, Montpellier and Nantes are all being linked.
