Bochum seal keeper deal

VfL Bochum have signed Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Jan Lastuvka on a one-year loan.

VfL Bochum have signed Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Jan Lastuvka on a one-year loan deal.

Bochum club officials confirmed the move on Tuesday after the first-team squad returned to training for the new season.

Lastuvka, who was also reportedly a target for Birmingham City, will join the Ruhr Valley outfit to replace Czech compatriot Jaroslav Drobny, who moved to Hertha Berlin this summer.

The 24-year-old made eight appearances whilst on loan at Fulham last season and was known to be keen to seal a move to the Bundesliga outfit where he looks likely to be guaranteed first-team football when the new season kicks off in early August.
