Robins swoop for Sproule

Bristol City have signed Ivan Sproule from Hibernian.

The Northern Ireland international has signed a three-year deal at Ashton Gate after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

The jet-heeled front-man is looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Championship with City next season.

"This is a big step up for me and I need to build myself a new reputation," Sproule told the club's official website.

"It is a good league up in Scotland but it is an even stronger one, in my opinion, down here.

"There are some good players at this club already and I am going to have to work hard and fight for my place.

"It is an exciting time for Bristol City, they are a club on the up which is good for me and my international ambitions."
