Kapo completes Blues move

Premier League new boys Birmingham City have completed the signing of Olivier Kapo.

Premier League new boys Birmingham City have completed the signing of Olivier Kapo from Juventus in a £3million deal.

Skysports.com revealed earlier this week the France international was in talks with Birmingham earlier this week and, Blues boss Steve Bruce has wasted little time in securing his services for next season.

Kapo, who spent last season on-loan at Levante, was not thought to be short of suitors after intimating he was ready to quit Juventus, but it is Birmingham that have stolen a march on their rivals in completing a deal.

It is expected that the versatile Kapo will primarily be used as an attacking midfielder at St Andrews, with Bruce hoping the 27-year-old will add a touch of guile to his exuberant but youthful side.

Kapo becomes the club's fourth signing of a busy pre-season, joining Fabrice Muamba, Stuart Parnaby and Garry O'Connor in moving to the Midlands.
