Scaloni set for Lazio

Argentine defender Lionel Scaloni has revealed he has agreed a deal to join Lazio.

Scaloni has agreed a free transfer to the Italian side after seeing out his contract at Racing Santander.

The former West Ham man is excited the prospect of joining Lazio and playing in Serie A.

Former West Ham player Lionel Sebastien Scaloni has confirmed a deal to join Lazio is in place.

The Argentine made the announcement in an interview with website 'Piazzadellaliberta.it' and will arrive on a free transfer.

"I reached an agreement with the club last week," Scaloni told Piazzadellaliberta.it

"This is a great opportunity for me and I can't wait to play in the Champions League.

"I play on the right, even if I have also been used in midfield at many times in my career.

Director of sport Sabatini said Lazio were looking for a right-back and here I am. I will arrive on July 9."
