Duisburg land Lamey

MSV Duisburg have signed defender Michael Lamey from Dutch champions PSV.

MSV Duisburg have signed defender Michael Lamey from Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven.

Lamey, who has failed to win a regular place in PSV's first team over the past few seasons, put pen-to-paper on a contract which ties him to the MSV-Arena until 2010.

The 27-year-old is the eighth fresh face in Rudi Bommer's squad as Duisburg prepare for life back in the Bundesliga next season.

Club president Walter Hellmich confirmed that the Zebras are unlikely to sign further players before the end of the transfer window next month.

‚Ç£With the transfer of Michael Lamey our transfer activities have come to an end,‚Ç¥ Hellmich told the club's official website.

Prior to Lamey's signing, MSV had also captured Brazilian duo Maicon and Fernando Santos, Christian Tiffert from Red Bull Salzburg, Alexander Meyer from league rivals Bayer Leverkusen, Nigerian striker Manaseh Ishiaku from Club Brugge, and goalkeeping duo Tom Starke and Marcel Herzog.
