Matteo Ferrari is set to stay at Roma, according to the player's agent. The Italian international's future in Rome has been the subject of speculation with a number of clubs thought to be keen on signing him.
Lyon are the latest side to be credited with an interest in the defender as they look to bolster their squad following the departure of Eric Abidal.
However, Ferrari's agent Gianni Corci says Roma have no plans to sell the former Parma man and want to offer him a new deal at the Stadio Olimpico.
"He won't move. I have no permission from the club (Roma) to negotiate with other sides," Corci told a Roman radio station.
"He's not for sale even if I have got some requests from other clubs.
"Roma official Daniele Prade a few weeks ago told me they intend to extend Ferrari's deal for three or four seasons.
"We will willingly accept this offer because Roma allowed him to relaunch his image after two difficult seasons."
