Ross County have further strengthened their ranks for their fourth season in the Premiership by recruiting two new faces.
They have signed winger Jonathan Franks and midfielder Stewart Murdoch on two-year deals after they left Hartlepool and Fleetwood Town respectively.
Franks, who started his career at Middlesbrough, had been with Hartlepool since 2012 while Murdoch was with Falkirk until electing to try his luck in Lancashire two years ago.
Franks worked under John Hughes while he was at Hartlepool and said that the current Inverness Caley Thistle manager was supportive of his decision to move north to the Highlands.
He told the Hartlepool Mail: “I really enjoyed it with Yogi. You can see he’s done a good job over the road (at Inverness) and he actually got in touch to wish me well signing here, saying it is a brilliant club. Everybody I’ve spoken to has said good words.
“It’s a great opportunity - once in a lifetime, really. If you do well, you can move on but I’m fully focused now on Ross County. They obviously have targets next year and hopefully we can achieve those. The Premiership is a big step in the right direction for me.”
Franks and Murdoch join fellow new signings Scott Fox, Brian Graham, Dean Holden, Ian McShane who have all been brought to Dingwall this summer; Michael Gardyne - who spent last season at Victoria Park on loan from Dundee United - has also made his deal permanent.
