Nygaard extends QPR stay
QPR have secured the services of striker Marc Nygaard for another season.
Queens Park Rangers have secured the services of Marc Nygaard for another season, with the striker signing a new one-year contract.
The deal has been on the table since the end of May but the former Denmark international striker finally put pen-to-paper on Thursday.
Nygaard notched up four goals in 25 league and cup appearances for The Hoops last season and QPR boss John Gregory was keen to highlight his input.
He said: "I am delighted that Marc has signed a new deal. He played a significant role in helping us to stay up last season.
"Even though we now have five strikers, it is my personal opinion that you can never have enough players for that position.
"It gives me the ability to rotate them all as we have at least 48 matches to cram into 38 weeks. We are going to need all five of them at various times."
The Loftus Road boss has already strengthened his squad with the additions of Chris Barker, John Curtis and Danny Nardiello.
