Miller time for Celtic

Celtic beat Basel 1-0 in their first pre-season friendly of the summer.

New signings Massimo Donati, Scott Brown and Scott McDonald were all handed their debuts by Celtic boss Gordon Strachan.

Maciej Zurawski was unlucky not to score after just two minutes when he volleyed Mark Wilson's cross against the crossbar.

Miller scored the only goal of the game three minutes before the break when Teddy Bjarnason capitalised on a mistake by Basel defender Francois Marque to set up Miller to score from close-range.

Both sides had chances in the second half, but Celtic held on to record a morale-boosting victory.
