Liverpool bag Benayoun

Yossi Benayoun has completed his move to Liverpool on a four-year deal.

Rafa Benitez has been a long-term admirer of the Israel international and moved in to sign him earlier this week.

The Reds agreed a fee in the region of £5million with West Ham on Tuesday for the former Racing Santander midfielder.

Benayoun has put pen to paper on a new deal through to 2011 to seal his switch to Anfield.

The 27-year-old is seen as the ideal replacement for Luis Garcia, who returned to Spain with Atletico Madrid this summer.

Benayoun scored eight goals in 55 league appearances for The Hammers after arriving at Upton Park in 2005.
