Butt set for Benfica deal
Experienced keeper Hans-Jorg Butt is set to sign a two-year deal with Benfica.
Benfica are set to complete the signing of goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen.The 33-year-old is expected to arrive in Lisbon on Tuesday to sign a two-year contract with the Portuguese club.
"I have received a number of offers but Benfica was always the priority," Butt said.
"For me it has always been a dream to play abroad and the offer from Benfica was very attractive."
Butt takes the place of Marcelo Moretto, who left Benfica to join AEK Athens this summer.
