Jerzy Dudek claims he turned down offers from a host of clubs across Europe in favour of joining Real Madrid.Dudek was released by Liverpool at the end of last season and there was no shortage of interest in the Polish goalkeeper.
The former Feyenoord man revealed he was considering an offer from Bolton earlier this month and The Trotters were not the only Premier League side keen on him.
Clubs in Holland, Germany and Portugal also made approaches, but the move to Real was too tempting for Dudek.
The 34-year-old shot-stopper will be Iker Casillas' back-up at the Bernabeu, however he could not be more pleased with his choice of new club.
"I am really happy with this. The Real offer overshadowed all the others," Dudek is quoted in The Sun.
"I was considering a return to Feyenoord, Jacek Krzynowek was encouraging me to join him at Wolfsburg, an interesting offer from a respected newly-promoted Premier League club appeared and I was also thinking of moving to Portugal.
"However, when Real showed interest I was very proud and did not think long about moving to Spain."
