Roma are on the verge of signing Ludovic Giuly from Barcelona.

Roma are edging closer to signing Ludovic Giuly from Barcelona.

The Catalan giants have apparently accepted an offer in the region of ‚é¼4million (£2.6m) from Roma for the 31-year-old winger.

Giuly reportedly arrived in Rome on Monday night to sign a three-year deal, according to L'Equipe.

The former French international was the target of a host of clubs including Lyon, Juventus, Liverpool and Manchester City.

He had looked set to rejoin former club Monaco, but the deal fell through due to the player's wage demands.
