Real Zaragoza have signed Francisco Pavon from Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Real Zaragoza have signed defender Francisco Pavon from Real Madrid on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at the Estadio La Romareda.

Pavon's current contract with the Spanish giants expired at the end of last season and he was not offered a new deal at the Bernabeu.

The defender, who was linked with a move to Bolton in April, made 162 appearances for Madrid and was a product of the club's youth policy.
