Bayer to keep Papadopulos

Bayer Leverkusen have decided against loaning out Michal Papadopulos.

The one-time Arsenal youngster was wanted by Dutch outfit FC Groningen.

However, Bayer have told Groningen and other suitors that they are looking for the Czech striker to make the breakthrough with them this season.

"We have agreed that he will try to break through here," technical director Michael Rescke told Kicker.
