Macc sign ex-Shakers midfielder

Macclesfield Town have brought in former Bury midfielder Terry Dunfield.

The 25-year-old has been without a League club since leaving Gigg Lane following a serious injury, after making 82 appearances for Bury.

He has been training with Macclesfield in pre-season and has shown enough to warrant a contract from manager Ian Brightwell.

"I love football and there's only one place to come and ply your trade, and that is over here," the Canadian-born Dunfield told the club's official website.

"So to be given the chance to re-establish my career after a fairly serious injury, which I received whilst at Gigg Lane, is fantastic news.

"I've really enjoyed the pre-season training and I hope I can prove to the gaffer over the next few weeks that I am worthy of a place in the starting line-up."
