Rangers forward Filip Sebo has travelled to France to meet with representatives of Valenciennes.
The Slovakian has struggled to make an impact at Ibrox since being signed by Paul Le Guen 12 months ago.
Ligue 1 club Valenciennes have expressed their desire to bring in Sebo and he could now secure a move before the transfer window closes.
"Filip has flown to the north of France to meet with the Valenciennes representatives who would like to welcome him to the club," Sebo's agent Michal Matejovic explained on the player's own website.
"There is not much time before the transfer window closes and therefore it is hard to say if the transfer will happen."
Buffel on the mend
Meanwhile, Thomas Buffel is making good progress in his recovery from knee surgery and could be available to Rangers boss Walter Smith by the middle of September.
Steven Smith (pelvis) and Ugo Ehiogu (calf) are also on the comeback trail from long-term injuries.
"We are going to take our time with Steven Smith and Thomas Buffel, and the same goes for Ugo," Smith told the club's official website.
"Thomas is back in training now and we anticipate it will be mid-September for all of them."
