Bournemouth have not beaten a team both home and away this season but they can achieve this by defeating West Brom at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Having won 2-1 at the Hawthorns in December, Eddie Howe's side go into their final home game of the season already knowing they will be playing Premier League football next season.

The Cherries lost 2-1 at Everton last weekend but Norwich's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates secured their top-flight status for another season.

Merson's prediction

West Brom have done the job by staying up. There could be three huge football clubs going down this year, and West Brom are staying up, that just tells you everything about the job Pulis has done there.

Fans might want more as the years go by with Pulis, but Charlton wanted a bit more when Alan Curbishley kept them up every year, where are they now? Be careful what you wish for.

Howe is up there among the managers of the year. Bournemouth have done a good job, but next season they might not be riding on that wave after promotion.
