QPR v Brentford: Jordan Cousins a doubt for hosts, Lasse Vibe could return for Bees
Friday 28 October 2016 19:52, UK
Jordan Cousins remains a doubt for QPR's Sky Bet Championship derby clash with local rivals Brentford on Friday night, live on Sky Sports 1 HD from 7pm.
The midfielder was brought off during the 1-0 win over Bristol City with a hamstring problem and missed Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
Defender Joel Lynch also missed the trip north with a leg problem and remains a concern ahead of the Loftus Road showdown.
Grant Hall continues to battle against his thigh issue with former Brentford captain, Jake Bidwell, sidelined through shoulder trouble.
Denmark striker Lasse Vibe is in contention to return for Brentford after beating his ankle problem.
The 29-year-old has missed the Bees' last three matches after hurting his ankle in the goalless draw with Wigan, but is now back in full training.
Alan McCormack, though will remain on the sidelines following his five-game suspension.
Bees boss Dean Smith will include Philipp Hofmann in the squad after the German's first showing since August came in the 2-0 loss at Barnsley.
Smith wants Germany Under-21 international Hofmann to boost his match fitness to secure regular first-team action.
Ollie predicts
I can only go with a home win. I think QPR have settled back down, Brentford are playing a lot better as well but I fancy a home win.
QPR will just have enough in their tank to beat them so I'm going to go for a 1-0, very close-fought victory.
OLLIE PREDICTS: 1-0 and Nedum Onuoha to score first (Sky Bet odds 145/1)
