Motherwell v Rangers: James Tavernier available for Gers after suspension
Saturday 28 January 2017 12:30, UK
Rangers defender James Tavernier is available for Saturday's Scottish Premiership game with Motherwell at Ibrox, live on Sky Sports 1 HD from 12pm.
Tavernier was forced to sit out last week's William Hill Scottish Cup victory over the same opponents through suspension but he will be pushing for a swift return at Fir Park.
Danny Wilson could also rejoin the Light Blues squad after overcoming a calf strain which also ruled him out last week, while manager Mark Warburton is keeping tabs on a couple of players struggling with knocks.
Joe Garner has resumed training after injuring his shoulder in the derby defeat to Celtic on New Year's Eve but the striker remains 7-10 days away from resuming playing duties.
New Motherwell recruits Elliot Frear and Russell Griffiths will be hoping to feature against Gers after completing moves to Fir Park.
Winger Frear joined from National League side Forest Green Rovers on Thursday, while Everton goalkeeper Griffiths sealed a loan move until the end of the season on Friday.
Griffiths will compete with Craig Samson for a starting berth after Dean Brill left the club.
Lee Lucas completes a two-match suspension and winger Ross MacLean is unavailable due to a shoulder injury.
Watch Motherwell v Rangers on Saturday. Coverage begins on Sky Sports 1 HD and Sky Sports 5 HD at midday.
