Midfielder could play internationally for England or South Africa
Southampton starlet Andrew Surman says it feels good to be at the heart of a potential international tug-of-war between England and South Africa.
The 21-year-old midfielder was born in Johannesburg but has English parents, making him eligible for both nations.
Dual interest
Both England under-21 coach Stuart Pearce and South Africa manager Carlos Albert Parreira were at Stoke on Saturday to watch him score a stunning equaliser for Southampton in the Championship.
The player though insists neither have been in touch to date.
He told the club's official website: "I have been asked about it by the press but that is as far as it has gone and I have not had contact from either FA.
"It is nice to feel wanted and if there is a tug-of-war then it would be a nice feeling.
"If and when I hear anything then I will think about it, but for now I just want to help Saints climb the table."
