Kenyon not expecting any more signings

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has insisted there are not likely to be any more arrivals at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have been linked with a big-money move for Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho. The Spanish giants have played down talk of a possible switch and Kenyon admits Chelsea have done all their business for this summer. Asked whether there was any substance in the reports, Kenyon told Sky Sports News: "No. We're 24 hours away from the close of the transfer window and I don't see us bringing any more players in."

Foreign ownership

The number of foreign owners coming into the Premier League has been a subject of debate in recent months but Kenyon believes it is wrong to be critical of the general trend. He maintains that each individual should be assessed on their own merits, and feels that many, like Roman Abramovich, are doing a good job. "This is all about the right ownership. There's enough record of domestic owners not doing the right thing to not get hung up about it. "Certainly I can speak from my point of view and I'm delighted with our owner and say his nationality is not an issue. "This is all about owners and officials doing the right thing for their clubs and there is no evidence that any these owners coming into the Premier League are not doing the right thing. "So it is too early to be condemning foreign ownership."
