Derby County have signed Celtic striker Kenny Miller for £3million.Miller, who had slipped down the SPL champions' pecking order, has penned a three-year contract at Pride Park.
Derby boss Billy Davies had been keen to bolster his strike force with his side mustering only three goals from their opening four Premier League outings.
The former Preston manager had been linked with a move for Portsmouth's David Nugent, but switched his attention after the England man opted to remain at Fratton Park.
Davies is thrilled to get Miller, formerly of Wolves and Rangers, and believes he will be a real handful for Premier League defenders.
"We are delighted to have added to the squad a player with outstanding commitment and a never-say-die attitude who will be a real handful for back-fours in the Premier League," Davies told Derby's official website.
"He is a proven goal-scorer both at club and international level and gives us a different option up front."
Miller has not signed in time to make his Derby debut against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
