Alessandro Del Piero wants to extend his Juventus contract as he believes he can still bring success to the club. The former Italy international's deal expires next summer, although, as yet, no agreement on an extension has been struck.
Del Piero, who scored his 218th goal for the Old Lady last weekend against Cagliari, is keen to avoid being a bit-part player.
"I have targets and I think I have the potential to do good things here at Juve," he stated.
"I don't want a contract until the end of my career, because I want to feel part of a plan and to continue to express myself at the highest level.
"I don't want to keep on playing just ten matches a season. I'm serene, but at the same time I think my contract would have to include certain aspects."
