Mexican prodigy has no intention of leaving Camp Nou
Barcelona starlet Giovani Dos Santos insists he is happy to remain with the club as they have given him everything he needs. The Mexican forward enjoyed an impressive pre-season with the club this summer and has chosen to remain at Camp Nou rather than move to Mexican club Chivas on loan.
The 18-year-old, who was given Spanish nationality this summer, has been called into the Mexico squad for their forthcoming friendlies against Panama and Brazil and now wants to focus on impressing for his country.
"I am very happy at Barcelona," he told Marca. "They have given me everything.
"Now I want to concentrate on playing for Mexico."
Fantastic Four
Giovani faces stiff competition to break into the Barcelona first-team this season, though, with the 'Fantastic Four' - Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto'o, Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry - currently ahead of him in the pecking order. But the youngster has played down the idea that the team is based around those four players, stressing that Barcelona have great players throughout the squad.
"It makes me laugh. The truth is that in the squad there are not only a few fantastic ones - the entire squad is fantastic."
