Hull City chairman Pail Duffen has eased fears over the severity Caleb Folan's head injury.

Striker should be back training in the next few days

Hull City chairman Paul Duffen has eased fears over the severity of Caleb Folan's head injury. The powerful forward made his Hull bow against Blackpool on Monday, following a £1million switch from Wigan. But Folan's debut soured when he suffered a sickening clash of heads with Blackpool defender Kaspars Gorkss, and was left unconscious as the game was held-up for ten minutes. The striker was discharged from hospital on Tuesday and Duffen believes he will be back in training in the next few days. "He is fine, although he has a big bump on his head. It looks like it was nothing worse than a serious concussion," Duffen said. "That is very good news for the fans and obviously I'm particularly pleased. Caleb will be back on the training field by the end of the week and we'll look after him."
