Rochdale have released Jerome Watt following the expiration of his contract.
The winger was signed up on a month-long deal by Keith Hill after impressing as a trialist on the pre-season tour of Ibiza.
However, Watt's opportunities have been limited by the return to fitness of teenager Joe Thompson.
Hill has decided not to extend Watt's stay at Spotland, leaving him free to look for another club.
Watt started his career as a Blackburn trainee and spent time at Northampton last season before being released in May.
